Teen Online Drivers Education
Teen Online Drivers Education
Helms Driving School has been teaching teen driver education classes for 30+ years. We take pride in teaching our students safety first!
NC requires that all teens between the ages of 14.5, up until the age of 18, must take an approved drivers education course. The teen drivers ed class must be an instructor led course. Self-paced courses are not legal, according to the NC Department of Motor Vehicles.
Our Teen Drivers Education Course consist of three phases:
- A virtual classroom via Zoom and a vision/medical screening after passing the class exam.
- A driving phase, which involves six hours behind the wheel with a CERTIFIED driving instructor.
Upon completion of our Teen Drivers Education Program – students will receive a Driver’s Education Certificate, which allows them to apply for a Level One Limited Learner Permit, the first level of North Carolina’s graduated licensing process for drivers under the age of 18.
